(K) Section R304 (Minimum Room Areas) of the 2021 IRC is hereby repealed in its entirety and replaced with the following new section:
R304 - MINIMUM RESIDENTIAL ROOM AREAS.
Except as otherwise provided by this code or standalone zoning ordinances, the minimum size of houses and apartments and for rooms for uses specified in this section shall meet the standards specified below:
(a) Living Units: The minimum floor area shall be measured at the first floor on the main floor...community development director, or an authorized designee.
